Top Preschools and Kindergarten Programs in Philly

Discover the Philly Family Community's Top Recommended Preschools and Kindergarten Programs to find the right fit for your student.

Known as a trusted Facebook Group in our area, local families are always ready to share their expertise in the Philly Family Community. That’s why when we asked “Who are the top preschools and Kindergarten programs in our area?” they helped us get started (but we still need YOUR HELP)!

First, we’re pleased to introduce you to our Philadelphia Family Education Partner Members, who support our Community and Education Guide. Have you had a great experience with any of them? You can help other families benefit from your experience with an endorsement on their Profile Page!

Other local preschools and Kindergarten programs we’ve received recommendations for in our School Survey are linked below so you can explore them as well. If your preschool or Kindergarten program isn’t on our list and you love them, please complete our School Survey or comment with a link to their website. We hope this list gets you started on a path to finding the right fit for your child and we invite you to share it with your friends!

Cora Early Years

“Cora Early Years is a wonderful community with an involved parent group that actively fundraises and welcomes newcomers. As a Keystone 4-star facility, it provides excellent learning opportunities for children. My child has grown tremendously in her development, enhancing her imagination, creativity, persistence, and problem-solving skills through activities like circle time, centers, and book reading.” – Rae W.

French International/ L’école Française Internationale

“Wonderful language immersion program, warm and kind teachers. Lots of diversity in the school, with many nations represented, so there is a lot exposure to other cultures.” – Erika H.

Springside Chestnut Hill Academy’s Early Childhood Center (ECC)

“The ECC (early childhood center) at SCH is an outstanding program for raising smart, kind, inquisitive humans. Starting at 18 months, though 4 years, the teachers are caring, knowledgeable and nurturing, creating a caring community. They use the regio Emilia method, teaching the kids through play in a Montessori-style building with brand new classrooms (it opened in 2020) as well as outside on myriad playgrounds and in the wissahickon. The environment is safe, fun, and supportive and we wish we didn’t have to leave for pre-K! Ms Janet and her team are the best – they sometimes take awhile to get back to you because they program is new and growing exponentially but it’s worth being patient.” – Stef A.
